How to use the word counter
Paste or type your text into the box and the counts update as you type. You will see the number of words, characters with and without spaces, sentences and the estimated reading time.
Writers use a word counter to meet essay limits, students to check assignments, and marketers to keep titles, meta descriptions and social posts within character limits. The tool runs in your browser. If you are logged in, your latest operations (including a snippet of the text) are saved to your History, which you can delete at any time.
Tip: for an estimated speaking time, divide the word count by about 130, the average speaking pace per minute.
